Doodle For Unity

The ways children looked at our country are so creative and some mind-boggling. The drawings are beautiful, but, I mean, I would never have drawn it like that. And the way the artists replicated them is even more mind-boggling. Especially my favourite, the one with curry puff. A child drew a curry puff. And the artist recreated a curry puff, but not an average curry puff, it's a huge puff in which it contains essence of all ethnics and culture.
I wish I could take some photos and show you! But that's inappropriate. It's art, you know. You don't have to be an expert to admire these arts, definitely not abstract arts of some crooked world or human in alien shape that kind of thing. There were some art materials for visitors to join the fun.

My masterpiece was based on a few photos I snapped and instagram-ed. These are things that came to my mind first about unity: beautiful nature, Jalan Sultan and the beautiful message on the wall, Malay wau, a big mosque and I suddenly thought of an Indian uncle with big belly, casually doing his signature teh tarik moves.

What's your own version of Doodle for Unity? What would you draw?
Speaking of art, there's Art Expo Malaysia this weekend at MATRADE! Seems to be quite interesting.

Let's end this patriotic post with an interesting quote I saw in the newspaper the other day.
“Loyalty to country ALWAYS. Loyalty to government, when it deserves it.” ― Mark Twain
